EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The Educational Resource Center has successfully implemented various projects over the years, including:

  • "Step by Step" – Educational seminars for teachers and community activists on developing community-active schools.
  • "National Communities in Ukraine" – Seminars for representatives of national cultural and educational societies.
  • I and II Forums of Educational Civic Initiatives – Conferences for alumni of U.S. State Department programs from Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Chernivtsi regions, funded by the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
  • "Dialogue" – Development of a Ukrainian-Polish network for student organization cooperation.

In recent years, efforts have focused primarily on youth exchange programs for school and university students in collaboration with Ukrainian, Polish, and German partners.

  • March 2011 – A group of 12 representatives from various Ukrainian cities participated in the international project "Z Dwoch zrob Trzy" (Make Three from Two) alongside Polish and German students, aiming to establish tripartite school partnerships.
  • 2012 – 45 high school students (ages 16-19) from Ukraine (Lviv), Poland (Świnoujście), and Germany (Ahlbeck) participated in a meeting in Krzyżowa, Poland, on "Stereotypes and Tolerance."
  • June 2013 – A similar meeting took place in Poznań, Poland, where students from Lviv (Ukraine), Skwierzyna (Poland), and Cloppenburg (Germany) discussed "Common and Different Aspects Between Us."
  • 2012 – ORC facilitated a partnership agreement between I Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Króla Kazimierza Wielkiego (Bochnia, Poland) and Lviv Linguistic Gymnasium (Ukraine) to enhance language practice and cultural ties.
  • 2018-2019 – Reciprocal student visits took place between Ukraine and Poland, with participants staying in host families, attending classes, and engaging in cultural programs, including a highlight visit to the famous Bochnia Salt Mine.
  • 2014 & 2019 – A trilateral exchange between students from Lviv (Ukraine), Bochnia (Poland), and Oldenburg (Germany) under the theme "Our Past Does Not Prevent Us from Building the Future."
  • 2019 – The "Galician Sources of Ukrainian and Polish Independence" project brought together 16-19-year-old participants from both countries. They conducted joint research, prepared presentations on key historical figures, and visited significant historical sites. The outcome was a book documenting their findings and experiences.
  • 2019 – ORC, in partnership with the University of Tourism and Ecology in Sucha Beskidzka (Poland), implemented two Erasmus+ projects involving students from the Lviv Institute of Economics and Tourism. Programs for Ukrainian researcher internships were also developed for the following year.
  • 2019 – ORC representatives participated in events organized by the Fundacja Mapa Pasji (Poland), which develops educational programs through tourism and historical quests. In Ukraine, this initiative was piloted in Chernivtsi, with plans to expand to Lviv and the Lviv region.

The organization focuses on the preparation and implementation of projects and programs and the provision of services, in particular:

  • supporting individual educational initiatives and efforts of charitable and public organizations;
  • preparation and implementation of educational programs for school and student youth through tourism and local-studying quests;
  • assistance and organization of trips for the purpose of study, internship, research work, study of experience in the centers of education and business by Ukrainian citizens; organization of joint programs with their foreign colleagues and participation in other events designed to strengthen international contacts and establish relations with representatives of other countries;
  • assistance in establishing cooperation and concluding partnership agreements between educational institutions of Ukraine and Poland
  • conducting exchange youth programs of pupils and students, which are implemented in cooperation with Ukrainian, Polish and German partners and the development of the Ukrainian-Polish network of cooperation of student organizations of Ukraine and Poland
  • implementation of internship programs for scientists from Ukraine;
  • development and implementation of research and design work, preparation of educational videos and other materials for distance learning;
  • conducting research and providing expert services in the field of education;
  • providing organizational services in the preparation and conduct of educational activities, including educational seminars for teachers and community activists.
